If you search the directory

You can search, browse, save a shortlist and contact businesses without an account.

• Your shortlist is stored in your own browser. We never receive it.
• “Near me” asks your browser for your location, rounds it to about a kilometre and puts it in the search address for that one search. We do not store it.
• Activity counts. When a profile is viewed, or its call, website, directions or booking button is used, we add one to a monthly counter for that business. No cookie, identifier or IP address is stored with it; your IP address is held in memory for up to a minute only to stop repeat taps counting twice. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing businesses how their listing performs.
• Searches with no results are logged as the search text and a count, with nothing about who searched, so we know what to add. Please don't type personal details into the search box.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) load only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner.

If you send a business an enquiry

Your name, email, optional phone number and message are emailed to that business so it can reply to you, and are not kept by us afterwards. We record only that an enquiry was sent, for the business's monthly count. Legal basis: taking the step you asked us to take. From then on the business is responsible for what it does with your details.

If your business is listed

Listings are built from businesses' own public listings and from OpenStreetMap: business name, services, business address or area, business phone number, website, social pages, booking link and opening hours. Where a sole trader trades under their own name, some of this is personal data. We use it to help customers find and contact the business, on the basis of our legitimate interest and the business's interest in being found. We do not copy reviews, ratings, photos or personal email addresses.

You can correct your listing free by claiming it, or ask us to remove it entirely by emailing findit@conjora.ie. We act on removal requests within one month, and usually much sooner.

If you have a business account

• Your sign-in email and password are handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
• To claim a listing we email a code to the address you give, and keep a record of the claim (the listing, your account and the address used).
• Payments for Pro are taken by Stripe; we never see your card number. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription references to manage your plan.
• We keep account data while your account is open and for up to six years afterwards where tax law requires records of payments.

Who else processes data

• Google (Firebase hosting, database and authentication; Google Analytics only with consent)
• Stripe (payments)
• Our email provider (sending codes, enquiries and notices)

Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to our use of it, by emailing findit@conjora.ie. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
